No, that is the old red mill at Alley Spring. We got out this morning to get some sunrise and fog pictures and went to Alley Spring to get some different angle winter shots. That is how I get some of my ideas for the artwork on the calls.

This is overlooking the upper Jacks Fork River facing south. There were an old farm or two in those bottoms before the National Park took it all over. Still a few old cedar post scattered out up and down the river but not to many.

This is the main spring hole that runs the mill when the early settlers gathered to grind their grain. This was the center of civilization during those early times.



This is just another picture we took this morning. I can imagine a bird on the roost in one of these tree's. That may just show up on a call someday.

God's country. Beautiful pics David. When you get back from Nationals I sure need to come back up there and see some of those places.

I don't remember for sure but we probably went through there. Did we go to camp or towards it. Camp is up the river 6 or 7 miles.

Rickey when you come back we'll go on a road trip and sight see a bit.

You took us to a mill that was 2 or three stories. We talked to a park worker when we went in. I remember all the great old pictures they had from the old days.

Nice pictures David. As you probably remember, I lead a crew in restoring the mill back in 90-91. Cecil Fry and myself also reroofed it in about 1976. At the same time we had to make a new lifting wheel for the control gate. It is run by a turbine instead of a water wheel.
