Off to the Midwest-IL
« on: January 16, 2012, 05:37:00 PM »
I am pretty fond of this caller...the colors and sound all came together.  Figured Walnut over hard yellow Poplar with Bubinga spacers and inlays and Zebrawood end blocks.  This call is distinct the right rail is soliud and classic with a bold raspy finish, the left rail doesn't run long, but what it 'lacks' in loud stroke it more than makes up for in great young hen yelps, tree talk, purring and nice whiny feeding sounds.  A lot of diversity and knowing this experienced hunter, he'll work it just right for the demise of many gobblers.

Well Scott, if this is your idea of scraps I would love to see what you deem worthy of keeping!  Scott was supposed to send me a box of scrap material to make some pots and boxes out of but he tricked me and sent this wonderful call instead.  I can see why you are fond of it!  The craftsmanship is unbelievable and the sound is as good as it looks.  I thank you so much for taking the time to make this call for me Scott.  This call will have a special place in my vest for years to come!
