Thanks for the kind words my friend ! The body of the call was made for Nationals in 2011 but I could not find a lid that sounded right on it . I went through a couple dozen lids before I finally threw in the towel and shelved the body . Well, this summer I was making alot of lids for my re-designed longbox and I made a cherry paddle from wood sent to me by my bud JMCK . This paddle would not work on any of the 12+ callers I tried it on so I finally gave up on it too . This fall I got the longbox out of storage and for some reason I tried the unuseable cherry lid on it . Low and behold , they were a match made in heaven ! These two call parts that would not work with any other parts , now sounded great to my ears . It has the sounds that I try to achieve in all my callers . Since I first made friends with Gregg along time ago , he has sent me several great calls, including calls for my Daughters , and done alot of fine artwork and burning for me . I thought this would be a good caller to send to him as a thanks for all his support and help over the years . I can honestly tell you that without his encouragement , I would never have entered any calls at the Grand National Contest . Thanks Gregg , I hope we roll some big gobblers again this spring !!!
