JOINER?
« on: January 02, 2012, 06:58:19 PM »
Who/what make is a good one?  I need one for my shop.  Also what deciding factors play into which size a guy should get.  I am only needing pone for cleaning up rough cut lumber say 12" wide by 8-10 quarters thick.

Buy as long and wide as you can reasonably afford. When jointing long stock (like 6-8 ft) a short bed just don't get it.  Also look at the parallelogram type beds.  It makes adjustments relatively quick and much less painful.  A jointer with the beds out of whack is truely a bear to get back rite.
