Ah yes, I've been meaning to start a post on Chris' work and a search for anyone who has talked to him lately.  I've only been hunting a few years and out of it made acquaintance with someone I would call my best bud, my brother from another mother - if you would.  Bought my first custom call from him on the ebay and called to order another after I took my first gobbler with it.  From there we chatted on the phone at least a couple nights a week, shared the woods in Iowa and the mountains of Nebraska.  I had a great time, sure we got on each others nerves probably, but that's the part where best bud comes in.  Because of his job, we haven't talked much since he left over a year ago, we didn't share the woods and the usual 2-person tree (that wasn't always the best place to go, but we could chat and mess things up together), and I didn't have my guest for a week that I look forward to for a whole year.  It took the luster right out of it for me and almost didn't go this year. I did avoid our tree 'cause it just wouldn't have been right without him.  My calls now go unanswered and I don't have anyone to talk to anymore, just some calls to look at. This is most of the reason I'm not on here much anymore.  Chris, if you're out there - gimme a call sometime, I kinda been worried 'bout you.  Jeremy

I said that "I like turkey hunting", never said anything about being any good at it.

..Hear, hear, Jeremy... I echo your sentiment 100%.... I've spent many, many evenings on the phone with Chris and he dropped your name many times... I'm glad you stepped forward because I couldn't remember your forum handle... I always wondered if you of all people knew of Chris's situation but obviously you are in the same boat as me...
Let's hope that Chris is okay... Please PM me if you eventually contact him....

Now that's a nice looking collection Jeremy. I thought Chris was starting to get into making box calls also.
