Well the fair is over and and it was alot of fun . Karen and I both, put two entries each into the county fair. Karen took first place with both of her entries . I took first place in one category with the checkered shortbox, and second in a different category with the box elder longbox . The ladies on the fair board told me they really enjoyed seeing something hand-made that would call in animals . One woman told her husband they should take the calls to the poultry barn and see if they worked on the turkeys in there , LOL . I admitted to her that I had already been to see the turkeys along with a boxcall, and I drove them crazy !!! I had the mess of 'em gobbling in their pens !
