This day has sucked... no other way to put it.  I'd be working along and break down from time to time.  I had to explain to several of my workers what was going on.  It's funny how we can get to know someone without even meeting them this time and day.

One of my most touching moments with Mike was when I switched the Religious section to Orchard Baptist Gathering.  Mike had requested the two areas and I originally had them under General Discussion.  I wanted to do something special and I had already picked Adam's brain on what I could call the area.  I called Mike and things went South.  He was pretty irked at me for wanting to move the items.  In theory, they never moved... right below General Discussion.. but Mike thought I was lowering the Religious items.  I knew he was ticked.. He hung up quickly with me.  Unfortunately, I was on my way to do some fishing and had no way of staying in contact with him.

When I got home, I pm'd Adam and said things didn't go quite like I planned.  Adam said that was dad being dad and everything would be fine.  I decided to wait awhile and make the changes.  I made them about 2 in the morning with everyone sound asleep.  I got woke up the next morning about 6:30 my time from a call from Mike.

I answered the phone and there was Mike apologizing to me and saying how honored he was.  He had just misunderstood me and said, "you'll never know how much this means to me.  I'm assuming either Adam or Scott helped you!"  I told him there was no need to apologize and that this was for all he does for all of us!  My way of saying thanks.

We went on discussing turkey calls, hunting and just plain shooting the breeze...

What I really regret, is not talking to him as much the last couple of months as I normally had.  My job has taken it's toll on me...  We'd shoot PM's back and forth, but I neglected picking the phone up...  That has bothered me a lot the last few weeks, but I know he heard my prayers and I know he's looking down and watching over us!

Mike was very instrumental for the success of this site.  I'll never forget his help and the effort he put into helping people here.

I'm very fortunate to have called Bulldogmikey a friend of mine and it helps knowing he's up in Heaven enjoying himself  *prayer*

If we knew the day and hour, we would be prepared. Count your blessings that you were able to speak as much as you were able.
Focus on the good, and try not to beat yourself up.
