Making memories
« on: May 30, 2011, 04:12:56 PM »
I was fishing at a friends house when I hooked a channel cat.  I handed the rod to my six year old buddy and told him he was all his.  The fish really took line as it went across the pond so I knew it was a good one.  After about a five minute fight the youngster had the cat close enough to net.  Couldn't believe it went a little over 16 pounds. After photos were taken we released the fish back to the pond.  Later that afternoon I asked the young man how he was doing.  His answer was "Mr Ralph, I just keep thinking about that fish!"  My day was made.

Awesome Ralph, I know you are a proud man. Kids are the best. Put a smile on anyone's face willing to listen.

I am willing to bet that in 50 years he'll be telling his grandson or his good buddy " I just keep thinking about that fish "
