A recent auction for a handmade caller made in the memory of a callmaker who passed away is donating the funds to an animal shelter in MS. At the request of one of the donors I did some checking into this group . They are The Animal Rescue League Of Mississippi . I looked atheir website closely and they appear to be a no-kill shelter with good intentions. Until I read that their mission statement includes being them being advocates for animals because they can't speak for themselves. This threw up a red-flag for me. I contacted them to see if they were affiliated with the HSUS , The Humane Society of the United States. For those of you who are unaware , the HSUS is the biggest anti-hunting organization in the world .
This is their response to my question " What , if any , affiliation do you have with the HSUS ? " Here is their answer...
" Mr Fulcher, We ARE the Humane Society for Central Mississippi. We have WORKED VERY CLOSELY with the HSUS on hoarding and animal cruelty cases . We WORK CLOSELY with the HSUS representativefor MS. to prevent cruelty . If you have any further questions , please let me know . Samantha Guillot Page , Charitable Donations & information Systems Coordinator . "
They are a branch of the HSUS and therefore believe in the same mission as the HSUS and share the same agendas .
In their eyes , animal cruelty extends to hunting of wild-game. One of the main goals of the HSUS and it's affiliates , is to end ALL hunting EVERYWHERE . These days unfortunately , you have to be very careful where your money goes when it involves animals ! We don't want to fund the enemies that seek to take away our rights to hunt and fish . Thanks for listening .
