Went back home to hunt with my friends...Amazing hunt...I heard 9 different Gobblers and physically laid eyes on them all...NEVER EVER had that much action....We bumped the first 2 Gobblers that were henned up to get to some more we heard...We moved to them and 3 big uns came in from the left  through the thick....the lead bird all of a sudden lost all his head color and turned around and walked the way he came...well of course the other 2 followed....We got up shrugging our shoulders and moved to another spot..hit the box and boom  he sounded off...we rounded the curve and yep...you guessed it  there he was...Busted....So we doubled back to where we started and set up...we knew the bird had gone back in that block.....we called and boom  Gobbled again....next thing I know I see movement...Tail fan   red head...Its on now....I look closer   3 more Gobblers!!!!  its about to go down...all of a sudden  I hear a truck...You have got to be kidding me...sure enough a logger comes in drives past the decoy and gobblers move on...Well we wait a few minutes call again and Boom he hammer...they are coming back....Now my buddy George is behind me to the left 20 yard with the camera and he cant see the birds coming back through the woods...I cant move and he is calling with his box call and scratching the leaves...Well you guessed it   they see him!!!!!  gone again...This time I have no idea what to do....Well i pull out the Ole Double Dealer slate Tim Clayton Gave me and purred and clucked and Man the woods lit up   3 bangers!!!!   here they come AGAIN!!!!  the 2 lead birds started spitting and drumming and strutting through the wood...the other 2 on their heels....They walked past the decoy in the woods about 25 yards and dropped down on the Road bed....and on a string they came....TY Tim Clayton!!!  the soft purrs were more than they could stand for the 3rd time....I shot the first bird and Honestly couldnt tell you what the other 3 looked like...I was not letting one get away again...What a great hunt with friends.....10 1/2 inch beard....1 1/8 spurs
Tim
