Here are a couple pics from this weekend’s hunt. The weather was everything you wouldn’t want for turkey hunting, except the snow flurries held off until the evening. We had over an inch of rain, winds gusting to 35 mph, and temps in the 40’s on Friday in south central Iowa, but we were fortunate enough to go five for five on tags. I had to put the sneak on my turkey and called him back around a hill at 12:45 pm. The only gobble heard all day is when I shot and this turkey’s buddy shock gobbled. It was a lot of fun, despite the weather. My bird was the smallest out of our group, 19 lbs soaking wet, 10.25" beard, 7/8" spurs.
