Thanks for the replys yall...Ive heard em being called horse,and hedge apples...I just wanted to make sure of the type of tree...I want some of that yella wood LOL. Ive cut some yella wood down here, but we always called it mulberry. It mostly grows around lake edges,and the wood is real yella. Ive never seen A osage tree around here,but I did have an old timer tell me he used osage for fence post.Hard as iron,and they would last 50 years...Ive got to go back and identify the tree,if I can,and harvest it,if its not too big...Thanks for the info.
