Adam,
I can imagine how bad that hurts. I had a 1x2 come back at me and hit me in the leg and it just about brought tears to my eyes. I was scared to look because I was afraid it would be sticking out of my leg. Luckily it wasn't. Good luck with surgery and I hope you heel and recover quick. Spring is just around the corner.

Ouch, glad he is ok. I had a piece of 3/4 plywood kick back one time. Hurt like the Dickens and made me say some pretty bad things too

I appreciate all the well wishes. I will be having surgery on it Thursday afternoon. They are going to be inserting pins into my hand.

Just a mistake on my part, albeit a painful one, it was a mistake. I guess they call it iron wood for a reason! It sure felt like iron when it hit my hand. *cry*

On a side note, I've got about 20 pots I'm gonna try to finish this weekend: slate, ceramic, glass and copper. We'll have zebra wood, walnut, tiger maple, quilted maple, plum, blood wood, paduak and ironwood.
