Mouthpiece on a trumpet Q???

On many trumpets with a wingbone mouthpiece I have notice that on the tip several are cut on an angle. Is there a specific reason for this?

I have heard that it makes it easier to Kee....I like straight cut!

Its really a matter of individual taste at this point.  Turpin indicated that the beveled tip could enhance playability.  I really have no personal preference on the matter...

I don't like to have to hunt the bevel. If the mouthpiece is large enough, I'm OK with the bevel. If the mouthpiece has been ground way down, skip the bevel. For me, one of the bigger issues is lipstop adjustment. Getting it set for a paticular call, they won't all be the same. Or at least none of mine are.

Agree -- the few I have all seem to be different too.  Had a conversation with Zumer not long ago about the difference between a rounded lipstop and a flat lipstop, and how that affects one's ability to run the call properly.  It really is call-specific and caller-specific.
