Thanks for all the great welcomes. I have been lurking around here for a while now. The work I see on here is absolutely amazing. I am just getting started in call making. I have turned a few pots and have them ready for sound boards and striking surfaces. I also have several sets of wingbones ready to fit together. My hope it to be able to turn out owl hooters, crow calls, and grunt calls as well. I have a special call I am working on now for my daughter that is a piece of red oak root ball that we found in a slashing on her first turkey hunt last spring. It will be slate over cedar and I plan to give it to her a couple of weeks before her season this spring. I am hoping to be able to take a few of my calls to the NWTF convention in Wisconsin Dells in January and get some good advice from folks there. Now I am off to make more chips.
