Is upon us here in MO. I walked upon 3 toms yesterday but just couldn't muster the idea of shooting them without calling them in. They had no idea I was there and as I backed down to get into the woods, they must have seen me

Not sure I'll get to go back out, but no matter what.. it's been a wonderful season. I could have shot 2 on they day I got my bearded hen, but that would have finished season off way too quickly.
I'm thinking Thursday I "might" be sick with turkey fever and that may be my last hurrah of the season. This weekend is youth deer season and law requires all hunters be in hunter orange if out hunting. I've never had any luck the last weekend, so I may rest up and switch over to deer hunting mode.
No matter what, I've made a lot more memories this year and had a blast. It's not always about the kill as much as getting out and enjoying the outdoors! The fresh air has been a wonderful medicine for me!
