Labor Day Weekend Birds

I had a chance to get out for a couple of hours this beautiful Sunday morning. I heard this group of birds coming through the woods as I was walking the edge of a field. I pulled out the mini Gibson from Scott (Willow Ridge Calls) and started kee keeing at them and a few clucks & yelps. The started responding and headed my way. This is the first late summer flock I have ever called in (about 30 birds). I can't wait for fall to get here!!!

Really gorgeous pics!!! I noticed on these pictures, a kind of darkening of the edges of the picture. It draws you to the middle of the frame and seems to high lite the birds. Do you do this with some type of filter? Roc  *up* *up*

Roc- Very good eye!!! That darkening of the edges is called vignetting. It can be achieved several different ways- 1. a filter 2. a lens hood of the wrong dimensions 3. digital photo editing programs

I use an editing program to achieve the look. It doesn't work for all images but for some it just makes them a bit more interesting.
