Redheart & Poplar

I did this Gibson with Redheart and Poplar. This piece of Poplar came from Northern WI and it truned out to be full of lead shot. Someone must have took a poke at a grouse when the tree was younger because it didn't have any holes in it when I cut the block out, but as I worked it down they started to appear. I wonder if that is what caused the color change in the wood, because that is where the shot is in it? Kind of unique  ;D.
