Shark tooth

This is what I was actually looking for when I came across the gator. You can find them, but there arent as many as the smaller ones.

Awesome, Adam had one years ago that was huge, I guess he still does. Those are from prehistoric sharks we were told.

That is way cool and the tooth looks to be unuaslly good shape.  Do you know what shark it was from?  I met a ladyonce who's number one passion is hunting and collecting ancient sharks teeth.  She had one in her collection about the same exact size and shape as your and told me it was worth quite a bit of money....if memory serves me right she said a few thousand dollars to the right person.  Not sure if she was full of it or not but the lady seemed to know her stuff and had hundred of them.  Cool find either way though.  Hope all has been well with you buddy.---Jason

Definitly a cool find y'all Jason, Iheard the same things about these old sharks teeth. I dont find them evertime I go out looking, but I come across them once or twice a year. Its pretty cool to walk along after picking up the little ones and all of a sudden, find one like this.

The ancient ones you are talking about are from a prehistoric shark called a Megladon. Great White's older much much bigger cousin. If you find one in mint condition they can be worth up to a few thousand dollars. One in good shape will bring a few hundred. You can find them on ebay pretty regularly. I used to scuba dive with a guy that would go to the Carolina's looking for these things in the rivers. He had masses of them. They are extremely cool and it will boggle your mind the size of the shark it came out of when holding one of those in your hand. Cool find.
