What’s Heaven Going To Be Like?
I have probably been asked this question as much as any other. Well I don’t think our language will allow an adequate description, just keep reading this passage. John even seemed frustrated trying to convey the majesty and beauty. The focal point though is Jesus on the throne. I will say this when life begins its eternal and God promised a spectacular place. One beyond our most vivid and grand imagination! It will be a place that is perfect in every way! That in itself is impossible to comprehend! One main point is our loved ones, those who were children of God will be there! My first chairman of Deacons was named Shirley Pickering. I love that man like a father. The last time I saw him. I reached out to shake his hand and I said” I hope to see you soon”. He replied, I won’t see you again on this earth, but you can be assured that when you step through those Pearly Gates I will be the first one to greet you. We embraced and shed a few tears. He was in his 80’s. I never saw him again,
Revelation 21 1And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.2And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.4And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
You will spend eternity somewhere! It's your choice.Want To Go There? John 3:16 "For God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever beleveth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life."Bro. Mike
P.S. Read the First Chapter of Genesis and focus on the "pre-sin" time Adam and Eve spent in the Garden of Eden. It is a as close a picture we have of Heaven. The main diffenrence is Christ has gone before us to "prepare a place". I shutter to think of the peace, beauty, happiness, contentment, joy, health, wisdom, fellowship and I could useadjective after adjective without touching the surface.
WOW "What A Day That Will Be When My Lord I Shall See!"
