first thing in the morning for a weekend of fishing, scouting and ramp digging in the beautiful mountains of WV. I was doing a little packing and getting things ready when I sit down at the computer to post some pics of the calls that I had finished up lately. I checked my PMs and had one from my brother Lou (letimfly) asking me why he had not seen anything coming out of my shop.

Well, Lou, my brother, these are for you.
These two went to a buddy in Kentucky. He gave me some old oak and cedar, so I made him 2 calls for the wood. I wasn't sure how the oak would sound, but these 2 really surprised me. Some of the oak boards has some spalting to it, so I can not wait to tear into it and get some pots made.

These three I made for my brother which he wanted for 3 of our friends. Yes, its slate over slate. I was fooling around in the shop and decided to try my hand at making a double pot, but the only thing I had for striking surfaces was slate, soooo I made a double slate. This call ended up going to tht ATA show with my brother (X-man) where a National Calling Champion played it and loved it. So, Our 3 friends that had helped at that show wanted a copy made of that call. That is why all three are slate over slate. Austrailian Cypress, Zebrawood and Rosewood.

Well, Lou, What do ya think.
