5 Minute Hunt....

This may have been the fastest hunt I have ever been on...Me, my hunting partner,and my two grandsons drive over to our lease yesterday afternoon...85 miles...pull up to the selected gate at around 6:00..unload and get geared up and head up the road to a big food plot about 300 yds down.Plan was to split up at the plot each taking one kid....After about a 10 minute walk we approach the food plot only to see a hen feeding in the center...We all freeze up..she looks our way and putts a few times and goes back to feeding...we then hear another bird putting off in the woods...I pull out one of my aluminums and run a fast series of cutts,just once, and here they come...two huge gobblers bust out of the woods on the other side of the food plot in a dead run straight at us...we all hit the ground as if we were under mortar attack....my buddy and I are laying side by side on our bellies, guns up and on three Boom!!!!Boom!!!!Two birds flopping....stats were 21 lbs 1 oz and 23 lbs 10 ozs...both 1.25" spurs...nice hooks...10" and 10.5" beards....
