Watched the second time . It was a jake . That old bird was out of the pic for some time as he tried to run that jake out .
Did you notice the immediate change of their interest when the hunter changed from mouthcall to the box? His mouthcalling to me was more jake than hen . The box , with its higher pitch pulled them in . Just my opinion.
I didn't hear any gobbles after they hit the ground , or at least after they came out in the open . And once things settled down , how those jakes stated tight together , and the difference in their head color as they made the final approach , just prior to the shot.
