Chad

I use mine mainly preseason. By the time the opener comes around I have half a dozen birds located. Not to say I don't use it during the regular season i'm just very careful when and where I use it. One thing for sure a gobble on a gobble box will get them to shock gobble when nothig else wil.

I use most of them and a lot of times let them Gobble on there own. Last Year,Nothing worked better than a Coyote Bark for me. Just plain Dog barks were working in the late morning. The best locator I have seen was a JackAzz sounding off in Kentucky...he would Hee Haw at day break and the Woods would sound off. HMMMM..wonder what Reed I could use for a Heeee Hawwwwwww...lol

;D My friend up the road has neighbors with the LONGEARED LOCATORS . Early mornings , no matter what the weather , those jacks will sound off . They've got birds cranked up when they wouldn't respond to our feeble attempts.

Last spring I threatened to buy one of the squeeze bulb bicycle horns . I have no doubt it will work , plus it should deter any other hunters from coming in on your area , especially on public land . I know I wouldn't go toward a loud horn to hunt , no matter how many gobblers shocked to it.

I've struck more birds with LOUD cutts and yelps on a wing bone than anything else.
If your going to play the game, play by the rules.....
