That is a good Possibility. Morodo is what I was trying to think of earlier for the Rosewood suggestion.

My experience with cocobola has been it isn't very good for strikers due to the high oil content but you said this one ran good so...... ???

The top one reminds me alot of several bolivian rosewood strikers i have made, they all sound great on any surface, especially glass.
And the bottom sure looks like cocobola to me  :)
