MO hunting
« on: May 02, 2022, 07:27:51 AM »
MO season has been a weird one...  wet cold and not nearly as many turkeys as in years past, but I got lucky on Saturday.

This ole 2 year old came in quiet (I'm assuming he had his butt whipped too many times and wasn't about to gobble) and walked by me at 5 yards.  If he hadn't snapped a twig, I would have never known he was there.  I was lucky that my decoy out in the field was a live hen!  He was fixed on her when he stepped out.  I let the 12 gauge eat at 10 yards...   *ride*

Used an Ed Jenkins turpin in walnut/bloodwood.

Now it's time to focus on getting my good friend a bird.  Called him in a few yesterday, but he just couldn't get a shot  *aah*
