Fall Hen
« on: October 28, 2020, 04:11:06 PM »
With some help from a Riley Corder anodized aluminum call,  I believe it's canarywood pot, I called in 10 hens this afternoon.
This one wanted a ride in my truck.

Coupled with my Thin Win striker,  this may be the best sounding pot call I own.

Thin Win is a type of wood.  It's like a natural Dymondwood in my opinion.

Great job!  At least someone is having some luck out in the woods and not shooting a tree :)

Now is that the only bird you can harvest?  We have 2 tags, but even filling one appears to be a tall order for me.  Hoping to get out this afternoon, tomorrow afternoon and Saturday!

In West Virginia, we can get two "bearded" turkeys in the spring and one "turkey of either sex" in the fall.  Three total.
