Chase"s First Bird
« on: November 05, 2017, 06:21:15 PM »
Hunted with good friends Bob Smith and Tony Ezolt Last week,  Hunted all morning With not much sign and the wind  blew all day.  We decided to switch places to hunt ,when we got there we spotted 12 gobblers in a field at the foot of the mountain feeding in a cut corn field.  we put chase on them and it wasn't long we could see birds pitching off the hillside.  we climbed up and spread out  settled in and called,  after thirty or forty minutes I could here a bird calling below me.   It came up over to my left and  got a little above me before it gobbled, I was just sitting there watching it when I heard one clucking to my right  Looked up and this bird was making a beeline for the one that was gobbling , It didn't make it that far. Was pretty stoked about getting Gobbler for Chases first Bird

Bill that was a great hunt and I remember it like it was yesterday. Chase is a great turkey dog and glad to have had an opportunity to hunt with him some more.
