Kenny Morgan Mahogany Tube Call Construction Question

A friend of mine gave me a Morgan tube caller last week. It is the Mahogany tube with the metal top half moon in a metal tube carring case like the one on Morgan inactive site. There is nothing else in the sound chamber. Is this call missing any metal guts as described below?  " a metallic flange has been built into the inside to enhance resonance of the mahogany chamber."   I dont have this.  only metal i have is the top.  Any help or explanation would be greatly appreciated?  thanks

Our original patent of having a metal sleeve imbedded within a wood cylinder cut to the precise length of a resonating air column is still the basis for this unique turkey caller. We have made some changes; the old snuff can has been replaced with a fine rust proof alloy sleeve, a metallic flange has been built into the inside to enhance resonance of the mahogany chamber. This caller will reproduce virtually all of the turkey language, including a most realistic gobble and an unmatched lonesome hen yelp which can be heard for incredible distances by turkeys. Thanks Colt, i looked up the patent and it shows a "sound absorbent material"inserted in bottom of wood cylinder with a small hole in center. It appears it's bent in V  shape and inserted as a baffle?  anybody have this "baffle" in their Morgan Tube? If so could you post a picture please, i would like to make one.  thanks for any help

He went to the aluminum for a number of reasons.  He could no longer get the Garrett's snuff cans and was having to buy snuff to get the cans, hence the imprinted can pictured above.  Further he was seeking to improve the sound and I think he succeeded.  He gave me two before his death and one goes with me on every hunt.  It has a ring that you can't get from the original.  The aluminum caller is more difficult to tune as the aluminum doesn't grip the membrane as securely as the painted snuff can does.  I solved that problem by using and carrying a stick of Elmers glue and rubbing a small amount on the edges where the membrane touches the aluminum.  It takes a little more effort to tune as compared with the snuff can but the results makes it worth the extra effort   I never saw a baffle or rubber half moon concept on any of his callers and I got my first one in 1973 and met and became close friends with Kenny in 1975 so I think I would be aware of such.  He did love to tinker though so who knows what concepts he experimented with.

1. Elmers glue?  the pic i included, red is where glue goes?
2. Latex thickness. 2.5, 3,4 or 6?  for Jake Gobble
3. Proph thickness?

 I personally, don't stretch my latex tight on my tub calls. I prefer to have a few wrinkles in the latex, which gives me a more raspy call. As for latex, I use the orange latex and also a dental dam in purple. Both give me about the same sound (I find preferable).

Elmer's stick glue.  Don't need much.  Place some at the corners at the bottom of the half moon and a little at the top.

He got them from some place in Memphis if I remember correctly.  He was able to purchase them before the Garrett's stamp was embossed.  For some reason he couldn't get the cans anymore which led to development of the aluminum caller.  I have no idea who manufactured the aluminum insert.  The flange referred to is the tenon that fits inside the barrel.  I can remember him at times using sponge or tissue to tone down the caller.
