A Neil Diamond Call
« on: February 06, 2017, 11:00:00 PM »
Those of you who know me know that I only use one species of wood on my scratch boxes.  Well, last week I broke tradition and used two woods.  I made five calls of Brazilian Cherry over American Cherry.  I had these two woods in the shop and I couldn't resist trying them.  They worked out real well but I probably won't ever do it again...just doesn't look right to me to mix woods on  scratch box.  Anyway, I numbered these and I still have three of them available.  The one pictured here will go on ebay and I plan on bringing the other two to Nashville if I still have them.
Oh, you say, "So where does Neil Diamond come into the picture?"
Well, haven't you heard the song, "Cherry, Cherry?"
Now I've done it.  I'll bet that tune will be on your mind the rest of the day!
Thanks for lookin', ya'll!
"She got the way to move me, Cherry..."

I know you use a different striker wood.  In my Turpin Onesider my best sound comes from two different Mahogany batches.  One is softer than the other.  A lot of times new ideas work out well Tom.🦃🦃🦃
