Thank's Dave!  When I first started hunting, we could not find a box call loud enough to carry on windy days in the huge tracts of land between the Mississippi levees?  We heard of the collection of very loud Striblings that Dr. Winn had and hunted with great success.  We called Mr. Stribling. He was 80 at that time.  He had retired from making calls and passed away shortly after that, so I borrowed one identical to this posted call and made my first call in 1986.  I was hooked when the calls obtained the results that we were seeking.  The bonus was that with the thick doorknob on the end of the paddle, you can make thicker sides and the softest of notes hold that double tone YAWK no matter how soft.   A great pitting,  finesse call.
