Hey guys, just wanted to let you know I am still alive and well. Work and home keeps me pretty busy these days.
I am still learning call making. Here is a sound clip of the last box call I made. Still working on them and learning to use them well. Tuning these can be tough. I am blessed to have some really good friends that also make calls helping me a long the way.

Didn't turn out too bad, but again I messed up and ruined the left side.
I am improving each day, and learning as I go.
I took the money I was given for christmas by my parents and inlaws and picked up a new craftsman table saw and router table wich should really help things a long.
Here is a picture of the call in the video. It is canary wood base, poplar box, and cherry lid.
I had a canary wood lid set up , but ended up boring down through the box when making my pilot hole for the screw so I decided to save that one.
Here is a box that I was practicing checkering on. I still have to finish the curve and put in on a base and lid, but this one too will be a reject as the table saw that used at the time made a mess of the angles.
wood is wormy butter nut. Wish I would have waited to use this one.
I will keep you all posted as I continue this journey and am really excited about the tooling upgrade.
