I am thinking of trying to build or start a website like many of you have. Just a side project really. But being "behind the curve" on some of this technology its kind of mind bending.  I know that a lot of you have done this.  Any suggestions as to where to go to get a domain name, hidden fee's, is a DIY deal that some offer the best? Is it really as easy as they make it sound? Any and all input appreciated.  Just don 't know where to start

Hey LT,

I used weebly.com - it's very easy to use.  They give you a free domain name, but it's a .weebly.com, for example, www.dreiscustomcalls.weebly.com.  However, you can purchase a .com for a low price, I don't remember exactly how much it was though, and I believe there are different prices for different packages.  I chose the cheapest package you could (I basically just wanted a .com name) and I think I needed to sell 1 call from it over the course of the year to pay for it for the year.

No advice LT, as I'm basically 'puter illiterate, so all I can offer is that whatever site you start will become my favorite one!
