Headed to TX
« on: December 05, 2014, 07:56:02 AM »
Finished building this one this morning. It's a purpleheart over spalted maple. This maple has some nice dark lines and curl in it. I like how the dark brown wood runs between the black spalting lines. It will have a tongue oil finish when completed. The striker is a walnut/cedar.
It's been almost two months since I've been able to get back into the shop to get some call done, kinda missed it  :D.

Thanks guys,

Yeah Jeff, it's good to be back at it again after sittin for two months waiting for my hand to heal up, couldn't of happened at a worst time, only been in the woods 3-4 times all fall, but still have a month left of fall turkey, and grouse seasons  ;D.
