They are going to leave the mound open, Letting it aerate & hope that it starts to break down any film that maybe below the gravel & sand. They are going to leave the fiber tarp down & add 6 mil poly & hay to keep the rain out & from freezing. It has been in the 20's here & the dirt they dug up froze. They think if they have to get sand & gravel it will freeze ( clump up). So looks like we will be waiting until spring now to do the rest of it.
