Spring 2014 Hunting Video
« on: June 02, 2014, 07:26:54 AM »
Hey guys. My dad and I tried videoing this spring. It's deffinitely a lot more challenging but we both really enjoyed it. Hopefully for this upcoming fall and next spring we'll have a better camera and some more experience with it all. Let me know what you thing. (The video is only about 15minutes long. LOTS of hen talk in it)

Good job. It's definitely not as easy as it looks. The hardest thing to do is self film. You guys did good. One thing that helped me was getting a good tripod. The video comes out much better and it wont make you sea sick when you watch it. Keep at it.

That was the problem we had this year. The camera was one from Walmart and it a cheaper tripod. Didn't hold the camera as steady as I would have liked and the head wasn't smooth. Hopefully I'll have some better equipment for next year though

Austin, truly enjoyed your video...after a while I was beginning to wonder if you guys were ever gonna roll one of those gobblers I kept hearing!!  Really like your arguments with the hens, you got into it with some fiesty boss hens...man they were close and that had to be fun.  Your box calls sounded great and I liked your style in running them, looks like you and your dad got into some good birds!
