With a storm moving in last night and prospects for an AM hunt this morning not looking good. I had slipped off to a new club in the hills and set up in a couple of places. With the wind blowing 25-30 and spitting rain, I changed tactics and started riding the ridgetops, coasting, getting out and doing locator calls on a cutting call. The only thing that answered me before dark was the
Mrs. wanting to know "where in the heck I Was." --- That one was hard to explain considering I was 2 hours 45 minutes from the house. Lot of turkey sign there and have an area picked out for Sat. AM. Bringing some young ears to listen for the birds. Heck, all that duck blasting when I was younger has taken a toll on my hearing. It's tough getting old with this sport.
