I've only had the fortune of hunting Florida one time. I was given the advice by a great turkey hunter who's hunted all over the country. "When you get to Florida, or Texas for that matter. Find you a good stick and beat the heck out of the ground around the tree you are going to sit."  And I did.

Oh my.. .i'm laughing so hard from a boot thread.  Jeff ask ole Daryl about me flipping a snake on him in Kansas.  It was an accident as they were some mean looking snakes.  I meant to move the thing gently with my gun and it moved on me.  I screamed like a girl and flipped the gun, the snake went up in the air and landed on Daryl.  His screams were way higher pitched than mine!

I hate snakes.. spiders and any other scary creatures.  Daryl needs badger proof boots too.  He was kicking a badgers den one day.  luckily the badger was not home!
