I was able to call in a nice bird for my nephew last April during the youth season. We got on this bird first thing on the roost but could not do anything with him. After making a two mile loop chasing this guy and prospecting for a different bird along the way that might be more cooperative, we finally got this bird fired up enough to come and check us out. Luke did great and was able to pull this hunt off with no blind and no decoys. When the bird finally decided to come he put on one heck of a show strutting and gobbling non-stop in to 20 yards where Luke ended his career with a hot swarm of number 5's. We are hoping for a repeat in another month and a half.
