I was listening to an outdoorsman radio show on talk news radio last Saturday morning when they had a guest speaker discussing a new program for deer hunting in my state called QDMA. They promote habitat and quality harvest to aid in developing a quality deer herd throughout the state depending on conditions in that portion of the state. I called in to inquire as to why organizations such as Ducks Unlimited, Ruffed Grouse Society, NWTF Etc don't work together for the common goal. The response I received was that they basically don't tread in other peoples territory however the talkshow host felt as though everyone should work together. Is this the same in your state. I would think that atleast one common goal for all these organizations is to restore habitat. For instance with Ducks Unlimiited, they are involved in the purchase of wetlands and improving said wetlands. That being said this benefits not only waterfowl but the other critters that live there such as deer and turkeys. Just curious as to what your thoughts are on this matter and if in your state everyone does work together.
