We are all adults here, it sure would be nice to be able to have adult conversations.  Seems like this site has lost several members due to censoring, even as recent as a few days ago.

Great words indeed, adult converstion by adults, right on, I am with you on that one.  But when things go south and people are attacked then I am not with you on that part.  Just go back to the simple basic rules list on this forum on how and why things get pulled or people get banned (Cross those norms).  You never know who or what is next!

So here are the 5 golden rules (of course at any time we may have to add additional ones!

1.    Absolutely no personal attacks on individuals or other forums!  This will not be tolerated in any manner!  Be nice.  This is one of the rules that will have no warnings for being banned.  Cross the line and you will be gone!

2.    No profanity!  Keep it clean and fun!

3.    I will give one warning for anything out of line.  After that, no excuses.  Let's have fun and be friends.

4.    Internet Proxies are not allowed.  Osage Roost will not approve any accounts coming from known Proxy sites.

5.    Have fun, but stirring the pot for a knee jerk reaction, or the berating and/or the belittling of other members will not be tolerated!

6.    Unsolicited Advertising is prohibited!

7.    Abusive PM's are not allowed nor tolerated!

Someone talked to Shannon today and it seems that he may have fat fingered me.  Said that he didn't intentionally ban me.  So, my apologies to Shannon and Annie.

A site is a good as its members that's it not a lot to debate on. If everyone would drink the Kool aid it would all be roses and rainbows. People are going to disagree and some members are going to just not like each other for any reason but their own.

Being a moderator is a thankless job been there done that don't think I will ever do it again.  I never  ban a person and I am glad I didn't after what was done to me.
Some moderators need to sit back and just let the current(what ever the issue of the day is) problem go and allow the member's to voice their opinions in an appropriate manner. If they do need to step in do it to be none partial manner no matter if they are friends with one side or the other. But to just take down post with out explaining why it was done does nothing but make members upset and talk behind the scenes. Be open and honest to the whole community just not censor a thread because you chose to

Then there are some moderators can not handle all the power of being able to  ban and or delete posts. They get a power trip from being one. They go way over board on it and have members hate them due to it.

One thing can some one check and see if I am still a member on OG Shannon changed my password a long time ago so I couldn't log in and wouldn't return my phone calls.This is after I was a mod and even went on a hunt with the guy. He will lie to your face

I was a member there for 1 or 2 posts..i told a buddy of mine at the time that his dog had fleas...& they banned me... ::)...ain't Shannon that guy that looks like Andy Dick?

Bob that a awesome Idea... You mean a perfect site with no agendas, no  *cry* ing. Where everyone can get along. No pm's bashing the members, moderators or the site. A site where members actually contribute, and are supportive of one another. Not lurking in the wings, were there only purpose is to stir the pot and cause continued controversy. That sounds like a great place... I to would love to see this site created!!  *cheers*

Not spam but another board, Doug at Gobbler Nation has a really good idea.. There is a hidden board for long standing members with a certain number of posts.. In this board stuff like whether a member should be banned or thread be pulled or new board areas and rules are discussed.. Thus he nor the 2 moderators he has makes rash decisions.. Essentially alot of the decisions are placed in the hands of members of longstanding and thus have the most stake in the forum itself.. It goes a long time between threads but when a board is having issues like this board as of late it is a consideration.

I just think its silly the amount of censorship that goes on here now.  If someone posts a call that sounds like hammered dog  *poo*, it does nobody good to not give honest feedback.
