This one is headed to Brent Stoner as my end of trade from last year. Brent was kind enough to wait around until this year while I used his fine call all last season. This one has a little East of the Slash history to it. The Walnut was from a 1987 logging job on Whiskey Island. A load of whiskey on a Mississppi flat boat ran aground there and everyone that had a boat headed out there to help unload the whiskey, hence the name of the Island. This wood has been air drying since it was cut not far from the Chipman cabin, as written about in Mr. Wineman's book.
Brent the two chapters that were devoted to turkey's that I killed in Mr. Wineman's book, Turkey's on the Tip, and He had a Field Day, were killed with an orginal Tom Turpin shortbox, very similiar to this one. But not quite as good a sound as this one.
Mr. E
Look forward to delivering to you in Nashville my friend!!!!
