I would like to acknowledge the great job that Steve Torman has done for this site over the last 4 years. God bless you Steve for your perseverance over the years. God help me to endure this new venture.
A little info about me. I am not a call maker or a call collector but I have a great appreciation for those that have the talent to craft any of the “tools of the trade”. I only consider myself a turkey hunter that has a passion for everything about the sport.
As Shadetree alluded to, I work in the nuclear power industry were rules, regulations and procedures are important for public safety and health, as well as, individual safety and health. If these are not followed there are serious consequences or worse yet a significant event. Osage Roost has 7 simple rules to follow and they are there for a reason. As a new moderator, I can assure you we will follow them and be aligned on their implementation. If you’re not familiar with them, then I urge you to review them. Thanks!
This is a position that I did not seek out but was asked to help out the other two moderators when Steve decided he needed a break. I actually turned it down several times due to my work load and this will still be a balancing act for me as my real job is 24/7.
My hope is that we can all get along and enjoy everyone’s talent and occasionally have some fun, which I have been known to do from time to time. Please treat each other with respect as we were taught from childhood. If you have issues with me or anyone else, let’s not address them in this public forum but work through them in a professional manner off line. This site has been great ever since Mike Porter had a vision on what it should be let’s continue that as we move forward.
I could say more but I am waiting for my AARP check so I can go get more Geritol. Hope to see many of you in Nashville.
