A snow bird
« on: December 18, 2013, 11:55:38 PM »
Well it finally started to warm up a bit up here, it made it up to 21 degrees yesterday. A buddy of mine, Charlie was out with his dog Vic and busted a flock, he got on his call as soon as they busted and turned this gobbler around in mid flight and called it back to him. This is the second bird he's done that too in a couple of weeks, the first was an old hen.
Has anyone ever called a busted bird back in while in mid-flight?

One of my tongue calls, that's the second bird he had do that this year. His dog busted them as he was walking along call trolling along the edge of an open field. That Tom flew out of the woods in front of him and he got on the call and turned that bird around and called it back to him. The bird landed about 25 yards in front of him and he shot it.
