My nephew just started building these tongue calls, and is getting better with each one he builds. He decited to enter Nationals this year as a rookie builder with these two calls. The first is a walnut over willow with a walnut/port oxford cedar striker, the second is a maple over cyprus with a walnut/mahogany striker. I wish him well with both of these calls. That walnut/willow is going to be a tough call to beat
