Tom Fegely

Just wanted to pass on that outdoor editor and photographer,  Tom Fegely passed away Dec. 17. Tom was a well known,local guy   *prayer*

Sad to hear, I remember his television local show and have a copy of his book, A Guide to Hunting Pennsylvania Turkeys.

He inspired many young hunters in the south central PA region to get outside and enjoy the outdoors.

Yes, very sad news for the out of doors community, not only here in PA. , but for everyone that new him nation wide. I read in the local newspaper that Tom hunted in 32 states and 4 Canadian provinces, along with other trips overseas to hunt Africa. That is quite a testament when you think about it. I recall watching Call of The Outdoors on a Lancaster tv station when I was growing up, outdoor shows were always my favorite shows to watch. Tom helped a lot of new,fledging writers and photographers get their first starts in the business. He was 72 and died of Lewy Body Dementia, a terrible debilitating disease much like Parkinsons. Give prayers to the family.
