Kentucky Fall Bird

Well are Fall season finally opened. Got out to the farm early and got set up near a roosting site. It had rain all night down there and I knew were to be. It was slow going for the first few hours... Had been texting McKamey that morning, just killing time. In between texts, I took out a cane yelper I had built and made a few soft calls  Got an answer with a few Kee-Kees ..... It was on. I thought I would have a little fun since Jeff's season was over. I gave him a call from the blind and wanted him to hear something....... All he heard was BOOM!!!  ;D He said what was that.... A victim I answsered. We both had a good laugh  *aah* .... Here's the victim. A nice fall KY hen taking a dirt nap! Glad you could join the hunt Jeff!!  *peep*  ROTFLMBO

that was a MEAN thing to put a guy through that just ended his season Brent  *wha*
The minute he called, and said...listen, I heard a subtle call and then....BOOM !!!! hE PICKED THE PHONE BACK UP AND SAID----booyah!!!
The best part of it was that I only heard ONE shot.... *peep*
but....that's another story isn't it Brent  ROTFLMBO ROTFLMBO ROTFLMBO--if ya care to discuss that now  ;D
Congrats on the one shot/kill friend. Its better than MULTIPLE shots and NO KILLS isn't it friend  ;)

Well there is a little more to this story.. ::)... Opening morning I had a shot on a another hen only to watch her get away unharmed... ???.. Bummer. After the group busted I called them back and tried again... I hit one square and she went into the woods. I thought I would fine her. Nope, 2 hours later Nothing. My problem was I ran out of shells in the spring and when I went to get more. The shop I trade with was OUT...  *wha* I bought some different shells and didn't try them out before I went in the woods. Big Mistake!! Needless to say I spent the rest of the afternoon on a quest. 3 hrs and a hundred miles later... I was in business. What a difference the right shells make!!  RkLu Lesson learned the hard way!  >:(

Brent, Congrats on a fine bird, at least your has a tail on it and you didnt have to chase it.  Now the next question I have for ya is......Has my man FKIII been in the woods this fall????????
