Book a Kansas fall hunting trip during her birthday with your best friend that she cannot stand.  Oh I didn't forget her birthday, just didn't ask for permission.  I didn't think it would be THAT BIG OF A DEAL  *peep*

Needless to say, I showed her who was boss and quickly rescheduled the trip to make it WAY more convenient for me!!!

Yeah I completely stood my ground this time  *cry*

Mike, its all about training.  It takes a while. With puppies, kids....and wife's.  They are usually not gonna git it first time.  Ya just gotta struggle thru it.  After you have missed a few birthdays and anniversaries AND there is some adjustment time....its really not so bad.  ;)

Porter, been there, done that!!! My first wife and I were suppose to go out and celebrate our anniversary on a Saturday night, which was during turkey season. But, I went hunting with a buddy of mine. I killed a turkey earlier that afternoon. So we decided it was too early to call it quits. We went to another spot and got tied up with a couple of poachers. By the time the GW got there it was well after dark. I forgot all about our going out. You can imagine what I walked into about 9:00 that night. Her sitting there ready to go out....and I come dragging in. Needless to say, she didn't ask how our day went. At least she didn't have a problem with me going back hunting the next day...............
