You sure can use her next spring......as long as I am sitting beside you with my Benelli.   

You may have a hard time getting the Snakewood from around my neck. But I have some other Buice's you sure can use. As most of the trumpet runners will tell you, I have never seen a bad Billy Buice call.

Turkey hunters always have stipulations when it comes to loaning out calls Don't blame ya, that snakewood is awesome!
You're right bout Buice calls, I have and Osage with push in mouthpieces

killer kaller... ..this is probably the best lookin one i have ever seen of his....are they regularly available in snake wood ?

i am very interested in one of these....kan you honestly tell me how it kompares to a cox ?

I have both. Both play easy. The Buice is a little easier for me to play but I have run them a lot more hours. The Cox requires less air for me and seems to have a little more back pressure requiring less air restriction with hands to get a two note yelp. I am not quite as comfortable with the angled mp but get more used to it all the time. In the woods they both sound great to my ear. I'm glad I don't have to decide to just hunt one or the other. If I had gotten a Cox first I am guessing I would be more comfortable with it. That Snakewood is a special horn especially with #3 striped buffalo horn mp. Great to hear I get first dibbs at it. I tried to sneak it out a few weeks back and got caught. Also he has an Osage Buice with hen bone mp that is awesome. And a coco Cox that sounded incredible to me.

I talked to Mr. Buice yesterday morning and he had one Snakewood trumpet. I bought it. It does not have the great figure like this one but it sounded great so I am hoping it runs similar. He did not have any Snakewood but said he would try to get some soon.

If I ever get rid of the Buice Snakewood I will give it to my buddy David. He sounds as good on that trumpet as any I have ever heard. But it now has a #3 striped buffalo horn mp.

I have a "few" calls from LF Cox and Billy Buice. A trumpet from either callmaker is a great weapon in the arsenal. They require more "due diligence" by the user than any other type of call- which is why so few people are hunting with one.

I am gratified to see more interest in the Trumpet calls over the last few years.. A resurgence in the popularity of trumpet calls is a good thing. Practice often and take your call to the woods - be successful. Good luck this season!!

I have both call makers calls. They both make a great call. The Buice is a very easy call to draw on and it seems to play very easy. I do not run a  call without an angled mouth piece much at all so to say I like this call and ease of play is saying something. What I really like about this call is as mentioned above you can buy interchangeable  screw in mp for this call. This one has a #4 in it for the fall I would like to try a #2 or #3 to see how it sounds. This call has a lot of rasp to it with the #4 so for the fall I would like a higher pitch to it. What I like is it is his design not a copy of other call makers and he has been making them since 1968. The guy is a southern gentleman and a pleasure to talk to
A Cox play easy runs good kees easy and for all intensive purpose is a great call and buy because of the resale value. His calls draw very easy and are well made. I like an angled mouth piece as mentioned above so the playing that may be the reason of ease of play. The only down fall to me is the maker himself. He has been making for 20+ years not sure the exact date it varies on whom you talk to.  For his design I will just say it may not be his own
Which one is better I would buy if I had to and they both would sell me calls. It would be a Buice. People have told me the same thing in private but wont put it on the forums because their fear of never getting another caller from Frank to me that's  bull .

 Of course not....talking to Frank makes some folks think their in some special little club are something...and the resale aint bad either. Most of his calls that end up for sale come from folks that thought they were sPeCIal.....
