I ran over to the supply house to pick out a piece of wood and saw a small piece of big leaf maple burl sitting there. It really didn't look like much but I saw a bit of nice grain on one side so I grabbed it. It was just big enough to get 2 blanks this is the first one I turned and I am glad I picked it up this stuff is pretty. This is on its' way to DE along with a box call. Aluminum over glass.
